With last year’s event being virtual, we were excited to get back to in-person volunteering for Keiter’s Annual Community Day in 2021. Employees were able to organize themselves and form teams to participate in a variety of community support efforts.
On behalf of the entire Keiter team, thank you to all of our nonprofit organizations that have continued to help Richmond and surrounding communities in small and big ways.
This year we had employees dedicate time and resources to the following organizations:
Keep Virginia Cozy
Over twenty Keiter employees volunteered with Keep Virginia Cozy to clean up over 100 pounds of litter from local bodies of water.
The Doorways
We have had the pleasure of working alongside The Doorways over the past few years, helping members of our community get the support and care they need while using temporary lodging and non-medical services when experiencing a medical crisis.
Ronald McDonald House Charities
We had the opportunity to help Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond provide a “home-away-from-home” for families with children receiving medical care at local medical facilities during our latest Volunteer Day.
Operation Drumstick
Tax Senior Associate Janet Snellings organizes boxed meals during the holiday season for Good Samaritan Ministries’ “Operation Drumstick,” which provides special meals for families in need during the holiday season.
