Gracik Named to Massey Cancer Center Advisory Board Executive Committee

GLEN ALLEN, VA – L. Michael Gracik, Jr., managing partner of Keiter, has been named the Chair of the Campaign, Major and Planned Giving Committee of VCU Massey Cancer Center’s Community Advisory Board. In this position, Mike will be responsible for increasing private philanthropy and working to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward individuals, corporations and foundations that have the capacity to make major donations and deferred gifts. This committee also assists with any ongoing capital campaign initiatives and related events.

“I am honored to serve once again on the VCU Massey Cancer Center Community Advisory Board,” said Gracik. “Massey is among the top five percent of all cancer centers in the U.S. and through its research and treatments is truly leading the fight against cancer across the world.”

In addition to his Chairmanship, Mike will also serve as a member of the Executive Committee on the Community Advisory Board. The Board was founded 1987 in order to carry out the Center’s mission of improving the quality of life through the prevention, control and cure of cancer as a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center.

The Board is dedicated to educating the public about cancer research and prevention, as well as the respective clinical services Massey provides through its multidisciplinary team approach. Board members work to secure Massey’s future by leading fundraising efforts that support Massey’s strategic priorities. Members act as advocates for Massey in the community and throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
