U.S. News compiled a list of the 2019 Top U.S. Public Colleges and Universities with the University of Virginia, the College of William and Mary, and Virgina Tech ranking as #3, #10 and #30 respectively.
The U.S. News and World report evaluated the quality of these colleges and univerities using 16 measures of academic quality including first-year student retention, graduation rates, the strength of the faculty, economic diversity, alumni giving, and faculty resources. The annual report analyzes more than 1,800 schools across the nation and ranks about 300 public colleges and universities.
