John E. Kent, CPA
John has over 25 years of experience in public accounting, providing auditing and business consulting services to clients principally in the not-for-profit, real estate, and construction industries. His expertise includes providing insights and opportunities to not-for-profit organizations, such as private and community foundations, educational institutions, foodbanks, numerous voluntary health and welfare organizations, public broadcasting entities, and museums. He assists clients with designing and implementing fund accounting systems, endowment accounting, accounting for contributions and investments for non-profits, OMB circular A-133 reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and business planning and financing. He has developed an expertise assisting clients with endowment accounting and fair value disclosures and the new Form 990.
