A bachelor’s degree in accounting or business information systems, or equivalent
2-5 years IT audit experience
Knowledge of service areas including, but not limited to: Cybersecurity, IT audit, Sarbanes-Oxley, SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits, and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) readiness and assessment engagements.
The ability to use educated judgement to offer solutions and advice to clients
The desire to evaluate information technology, cybersecurity controls, and prepare audit programs
A passion for researching industry, information technology, and cybersecurity best practices
The knack for interviewing client personnel to gain understanding of IT and Cybersecurity risks and controls
An eagerness to plan, schedule, and manage client engagements along with team members
Familiarity with preparing thorough process documentation including narratives and flowcharts
Supervisory skills and ability to coach colleagues on engagement-level processes and procedures
You might also have:
Eligibility to sit for the Certified Public Accountant’s License in the state of Virginia. A CPA and/ or CIA License (preferred)
CISA, Certified Information Systems Auditor (preferred)
