Highlights from Keiter’s 2026 Firm Meeting

Choosing the right CPA firm is about more than job titles, busy seasons, or billable hours. It is about finding a place where your work matters, your growth is supported, and your values align with the people around you.

At Keiter, our values guide how we work, how we serve clients, and how we grow as a Firm. Recently, our team gathered for its annual Firm Meeting, bringing together interns, associates, managers, partners, and clients. More than a recap of the year ahead, the conversations throughout the Firm Meeting served as a real-time resource and reflection of how our values are actively carried out across the Firm. What stood out most was not just what we discussed, but how clearly our core values showed up in action.

Whether you are early in your career or bringing years of experience, here is what our values in action look like at Keiter and what you can expect as a member of our team.

Innovation

Innovation at Keiter is about progress with purpose. Our leadership continues to invest in emerging technology, including AI tools and new platforms, to improve efficiency, elevate client service, and support our people in doing their best work.

During the Firm Meeting, leadership walked the team through several of these investments, including multiple AI-enabled tools, as well as the continued rollout of our new client hosting platform, HubSync. These discussions did not just highlight what tools we are using, but why we are using them and how they support better collaboration, communication, and long-term growth.

We encourage open dialogue around new systems, such as client portals and workflow tools, recognizing that innovation is an evolving process. Team members at all levels are invited to explore, test, and thoughtfully apply new tools, share feedback, and help refine how we work. Innovation is not limited to a single department; it is a shared responsibility across the Firm. We also prioritize education for our clients and our teams, so technology enhances the client experience rather than complicating it.

Relationships

Strong relationships are at the heart of everything we do. During the Client Panel segment of the Firm Meeting, clients from various industries shared their reasons for selecting Keiter and explained the factors that contribute to their continued relationship with the Firm. They emphasized trust, responsiveness, and the value of personal relationships, sharing examples of Keiter team members stepping in during periods of rapid growth, complex transactions, or tight timelines with a calm, solutions-oriented approach.

Internally, relationships matter just as much. Bringing interns through partners together in one room reinforced Keiter’s people-first culture and created opportunities for meaningful connection across teams and levels. The Firm Meeting itself modeled this value by creating space for open dialogue, shared learning, and connection across roles, reinforcing that everyone plays a part in the Firm’s success.

Externally, we focus on the full client lifecycle, building deeper relationships as clients grow and evolve. That means more touchpoints, face-to-face meetings (in person or virtual), and a genuine commitment to understanding each client’s business. Clients value that commitment, and it is what allows us to deliver consultative, value-driven service year after year.

Collaboration

Keiter’s success is built on collaboration. By bringing together interns, associates, managers, and partners, we reinforce the belief that learning and growth happen best as a unified team.

Throughout the Firm Meeting, collaboration showed up in how leaders shared Firm-wide performance, how teams discussed cross-service opportunities, and how clients highlighted Keiter’s ability to deliver integrated, multi-service solutions without requiring them to manage multiple external advisors. These conversations reinforced that our collaborative approach is a differentiator for both our people and our clients.

Teams collaborate across service lines, share insights, and bring multiple perspectives to the table, resulting in better solutions and stronger outcomes for our clients. Internally, collaboration extends beyond client work to business development, internal education, and sharing feedback from client experiences. We work together to support growing businesses in the Mid-Atlantic area, exchanging insights on new tools, identifying opportunities to expand services, and aligning toward common goals while supporting one another along the way.

Accountability

Accountability at Keiter starts with transparency. Leadership openly shares Firm performance, including successes and areas for improvement, and clearly communicates expectations around utilization, efficiency, and growth.

At the Firm Meeting, leaders walked through 2025 performance metrics, growth milestones, and areas for improvement. Rather than avoiding challenges, these discussions emphasized shared responsibility, continuous progress, and how individual contributions tie directly to long-term Firm success.

Client feedback plays a critical role in this process. Insights shared during the client panel, including suggestions around proactive communication, expectation-setting, and education, reinforced how accountability extends beyond internal metrics to how we show up for our clients. We hold ourselves to high standards and recognize the strong work we do together.

Our Firm Meeting was more than a day of reflection and planning; it was a clear example of what it means to build a career at Keiter.
