Webinars | NEW 2021 Ethics courses from the VSCPA
Beginning in 2021, the VSCPA has enhanced the required Virginia Ethics Course curriculum. CPAs now have access to select the course content that best meets their needs versus the previous single course offering. However, CPAs must select a different Ethics course each year in a three year cycle and cannot repeat an offering during that cycle.
Because of the three year cycle guidelines and the flexibility of course availability and timing, Keiter is not planning to host an Ethics course in 2021. We encourage you to review the options available and select a course that best fits your needs and timing.

Webinar | sales and use tax audits: practical advice
Sales tax audits seem to run in cycles. State and Local Tax (SALT) Team members Terry Barrett and Kay Gotshall are currently seeing a lot of audits – whether this is due to states’ catching up after placing onsite audit activities on hold in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, increased pressures on the taxing authorities to pull in additional revenues to make up for budget deficits (created in part because of the pandemic), or for some other reason. Sales/use tax audits may be routine and uneventful or they can be major disrupters, depending upon many factors such as the complexity of a business’ operations, the nature of its sales/services, the experience of personnel working on the audit, and the business’ overall compliance efforts.
Participants will earn 1.0 CPE credit.
