As an Audit Senior Associate, you will play a key role in managing and executing client engagements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality assurance services. You will:
Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements across a variety of industries
Prepare and review financial statements and related disclosures
Assist in identifying, researching, and resolving complex accounting issues
Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations and deadlines
Supervise, train, and mentor staff associates, fostering professional growth
Evaluate internal controls and provide recommendations for improvement
Collaborate with team members and partners to develop creative and efficient audit approaches
Contribute to firm initiatives, including innovation, client service, and staff development
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
Three or more years of experience as an associate in public accounting or equivalent work experience
Active CPA license, CIA certification, or other appropriate professional designation (preferred)
Proven experience performing audits, reviews, and compilations
Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

DUTIES: Preparing & indexing working papers; Performing various procedures established under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to verify accuracy & validity of client’s financial matters; Reconciling intercompany payables & receivables; Preparing chart of accounts; Reviewing accounts receivable for collectability & evaluating the adequacy of provision for loss; Investigating the possibility of unrecorded revenues; Reviewing basis of inventory valuation; Evaluating the propriety of depreciation methods & lives used; Inspecting securities owned, verifying cost & presenting values; Reviewing the form in which title is held; Preparing time budgets for engagements; Supervising & training associates & interns; Reviewing, documenting, & evaluating internal controls; Determining possible contingent liabilities by corresponding with attorneys, examining minutes, contacting clients; Preparing audit, review, &/or compilation work programs; Developing appropriate computer skills including standard office software, tax preparation software, & financial statement software; Demonstrating competency in technical skills, work quality, & application of professional & firm standards; Participating in planning & scheduling client engagements; Communicating & interacting with clients by building strong relationships; & Meeting time constraints & client deadlines.
