Continuing to Celebrate a Bright Future Serving the Richmond Community

Keiter marks 40 years of serving and supporting Virginia with a community-focused campaign.

To mark the occasion, we established a campaign to support non-profit organizations in Central Virginia beginning in February 2019. The campaign, A Bright Future of Serving the Community, features the Firm’s involvement with 40 organizations with the purpose of bringing awareness to those organizations. The campaign will conclude with a special contribution campaign in the fall, after each of the 40 organizations have been highlighted in a 40 week-long social media campaign.

The Keiter team has been busy serving our clients and our community this Winter. Our Bright Future of Serving the Community campaign is in full swing and we’ve enjoyed supporting and featuring the following organizations:

1. VCU Massey Cancer Center

The Firm is a longtime supporter of the VCU Massey Cancer Center’s Women & Wellness breakfasts and luncheons, which aim to educate women on their healthcare options in Richmond while raising funds for women’s cancer research.

2. American Heart Association

We are proud supporters of the Richmond American Heart Association and their RVA Pulse event, which strives to bring heart health awareness to the community.

3. Richmond Symphony

The Firm has continued to support the Richmond Symphony and their creative contributions to our community over the years.

4. The Community Tax Law Project

Tax Partner Denise Holmes serves as Treasurer on the Community Tax Law Project‘s board, where they provide free legal help to low-wage families and individuals in our community experiencing economic harm because of a tax issue.

5. Chesterfield Education Foundation

Ryan Beethoven-Wilson is a member of the Chesterfield Education Foundation where he works to support their efforts in improving the quality of education for the children of the Chesterfield County school district.

6. Richmond SPCA

Throughout the years, we have had an amazing experience working with the Richmond SPCA and supporting their initiatives like the annual FurBall event, their largest annual fundraiser with all proceeds supporting their Cinderella Fund.

7. Down Syndrome Association of Greater Richmond

Business Assurance and Advisory Services Partner Richard Lewis plays an active role in the community by serving on several boards and committees in his spare time including serving as Treasurer on the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Richmond board.

8. The Doorways

We have had the pleasure of working alongside The Doorways over the past few years, helping members of our community get the support and care they need while using temporary lodging and non-medical services when experiencing a medical crisis.

9. StartUp Virginia

The Firm is a proud sponsor of StartUp Virginia, working to support local Richmond-based entrepreneurs and their businesses.

10. Full Circle Grief Center

We had the pleasure of being a part of Full Circle Grief Center’s involvement in making a difference in the community where we work and live.

11. Maymont

For many years, the Firm held our annual Volunteer Day at Maymont helping to plant bulbs and shrubs, clear overgrowth from the animal habitats and assist with special event preparations.

12. World Pediatric Project

Every year, we look forward to supporting World Pediatric Project and their community activities like the annual Rock ‘n’ Heal event where proceeds go towards healing critically ill children and building healthcare capacity in the world.

13. IMPACT100

Tax Partner Jen Flinchum has been an avid supporter of IMPACT100 and all that they do to empower women leaders to create a lasting impact within our community.

14. Junior Achievement

Business Assurance and Advisory Services Partner Toby Leslie is a proud Junior Achievement board member and volunteer, dedicating his time to teaching financial literacy and money management at the JA Finance Park.

15. Lewis Ginter

Lewis Ginter has played a staple role in Richmond, offering classes, events, and access to special exhibitions to the community. We are proud to have helped serve and support their mission.

16. Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

We are proud supporters of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Virginia Chapter and all their efforts in finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis through funding research and drug development and ensuring access to care throughout Virginia.

At Keiter, we play our part in the community where we live and work, not just as members, but as leaders. We are excited to continue our support and commitment to our community and the organizations that serve us. Stay tuned for more organizations to be featured throughout the next several weeks!
