Continuing to Celebrate a Bright Future Serving the Richmond Community
Posted on 03.18.19
Keiter marks 40 years of serving and supporting Virginia with a community-focused campaign.
To mark the occasion, we established a campaign to support non-profit organizations in Central Virginia beginning in February 2019. The campaign, A Bright Future of Serving the Community, features the Firm’s involvement with 40 organizations with the purpose of bringing awareness to those organizations. The campaign will conclude with a special contribution campaign in the fall, after each of the 40 organizations have been highlighted in a 40 week-long social media campaign.
The Keiter team has been busy serving our clients and our community this Winter. Our Bright Future of Serving the Community campaign is in full swing and we’ve enjoyed supporting and featuring the following organizations:
1. VCU Massey Cancer Center
The Firm is a longtime supporter of the VCU Massey Cancer Center's Women & Wellness breakfasts and luncheons, which aim to educate women on their healthcare options in Richmond while raising funds for women's cancer research.
2. American Heart Association
We are proud supporters of the Richmond American Heart Association and their RVA Pulse event, which strives to bring heart health awareness to the community.
3. Richmond Symphony
The Firm has continued to support the Richmond Symphony and their creative contributions to our community over the years.
4. The Community Tax Law Project
Tax Partner Denise Holmes serves as Treasurer on the Community Tax Law Project's board, where they provide free legal help to low-wage families and individuals in our community experiencing economic harm because of a tax issue.
5. Chesterfield Education Foundation
Ryan Beethoven-Wilson is a member of the Chesterfield Education Foundation where he works to support their efforts in improving the quality of education for the children of the Chesterfield County school district.
6. Richmond SPCA
Throughout the years, we have had an amazing experience working with the Richmond SPCA and supporting their initiatives like the annual FurBall event, their largest annual fundraiser with all proceeds supporting their Cinderella Fund.
7. Down Syndrome Association of Greater Richmond
Business Assurance and Advisory Services Partner Richard Lewis plays an active role in the community by serving on several boards and committees in his spare time including serving as Treasurer on the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Richmond board.
At Keiter, we play our part in the community where we live and work, not just as members, but as leaders. We are excited to continue our support and commitment to our community and the organizations that serve us. Stay tuned for more organizations to be featured throughout the next several weeks!
