Overview of CMMC 2.0 Proposed Rule

In late 2023, the Department of Defense’s (DoD) much-anticipated Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 was published into the Federal Register as a Proposed Rule, including three CMMC Assessment Levels. The Defense Industrial Base (DIB) has until late February to comment on the rule, before the final rule is likely published in early 2025.
