Keiter Director honored for exceptional volunteer leadership
Mike Gracik, Director at Keiter, received the 2026 MCV Foundation Michael B. Dowdy Award, recognizing his decades of dedicated volunteer service to VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center “Massey” and the broader VCU Health System.
This prestigious honor celebrates volunteer leaders whose strategic guidance, compassion, and long-term commitment have helped advance the mission of the cancer center and positively impact patients and families. Over the course of nearly 30 years, Mike has played an integral role in supporting and shaping Massey’s growth – both through his leadership and by inspiring others to get involved.
A lasting impact on Massey’s mission and the Richmond community
His involvement with Massey began in the late 1990s and has grown into a lasting commitment defined by leadership, stewardship, and impact.
Over the years, Mike has served as Chair of the Massey Cancer Center Advisory Board, longer than anyone in its history, while also playing a key role in advancing Massey’s philanthropic mission. Colleagues and community leaders consistently describe his contributions in terms of dedication, constancy, and meaningful impact.
A career defined by leadership and service
In addition to his extensive community involvement, Mike has built a distinguished career at Keiter spanning more than 35 years. He became Director in 2019 after serving as a Partner from 1991 to 2018, leading the Firm’s tax department for over two decades and serving as Managing Partner from 2014 through 2018 during a period of significant growth.
Throughout his career, Mike has worked with clients across a wide range of industries. He is also widely recognized within the Firm as a mentor, having guided and supported countless team members over the years.
