By Keiter CPAs

Specialized certification strengthens Keiter’s construction industry expertise

Keiter is proud to announce that Brett Sinsabaugh, CPA, CCA, CCIFP, Partner, has earned the Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) designation, a specialized credential recognizing demonstrated knowledge and experience in construction financial management.

The CCIFP is the only certification specifically focused on construction financial management and is accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB). Earning the designation requires candidates to meet education and construction industry experience requirements and successfully complete a comprehensive examination covering the financial and operational issues unique to the construction industry.

A commitment to the construction industry

As an Audit Partner and leader within Keiter’s Real Estate and Construction industry team, Brett has spent much of his career advising construction companies and other privately held businesses on accounting, assurance, and financial reporting matters.

“Earning the CCIFP designation reflects my commitment to continually building my knowledge of the construction industry and understanding the challenges and opportunities our clients encounter every day. I value the relationships I have built with construction business owners and their teams, and I look forward to applying this additional knowledge to help them identify opportunities and address challenges.”

About the CCIFP designation

The CCIFP examination evaluates knowledge across key areas of construction financial management, including accounting and reporting, income recognition, budgeting and planning, risk management, taxes, human resources, legal matters, and information technology. Candidates must also demonstrate relevant professional experience serving the construction industry. To maintain the certification, CCIFPs are required to adhere to a Code of Ethics and complete ongoing continuing education in construction financial management. The rigorous requirements help distinguish professionals who have developed a broad understanding of both the financial and operational considerations affecting construction organizations.
