Our Valuation and Forensic Services Practice specializes in performing valuations of closely held businesses, litigation consulting and expert witness services, and financial investigations for companies and attorneys in Clarksville and throughout Middle Tennessee. 

Our primary market consists of Virginia and Tennessee; however, we have performed projects across the United States. Our client focus is on closely-held businesses and professional firms ranging from small to middle market with local, regional, national, and international operations. We have also performed projects for billion dollar private and public companies.


 

Our team members collectively possess over 70 years of experience and have performed over 1,600 valuation and forensic projects in more than 220 different industries.

The senior members of our team are all Certified Public Accountants and possess the following valuation specialty credentials:  the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential and the American Society of Appraiser’s Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) credential.

In addition, certain team members are certified in financial forensics and hold the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) credential, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners’ Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential.

About Jake T. Mathews

Jake T. Mathews is a Valuation and Forensic Services Senior Associate and lives in Clarksville, TN. He performs business valuations for the purposes of estate, gift, and income taxes; business and estate planning; marital dissolutions; goodwill impairment; asset impairment; stock-based compensation, transaction planning, and financial reporting. Jake also performs forensic accounting investigation, litigation consulting services, and has assisted with sell-side transaction advisory services. He is proficient in data analysis and performing complex financial modeling.

Jake has served clients in a variety of industries including, but not limited to financial services, real estate, professional services, clinical research, healthcare and physician practices, manufacturing, IT and software services, logistics and transportation, foodservice distribution, health care services, and construction.

Prior to moving to Tennessee, Jake worked at Keiter’s Virginia office.
