Staff Spotlight: Emily Courtright

New HR Generalist Connects with Keiter Benefits and Core Values

Emily Courtright joined the Keiter HR team in November of 2022. She finds her role as an HR Generalist to be a balancing act between supporting the firm goals and policies and addressing team member concerns and needs. Her workday can include lending an ear to an employee that has a concern, sharing employee concerns to leadership, or going over benefit information with a new team member. 

Emily avoids a just check a box approach to HR, instead focusing on relationship building and collaboration with employees and leadership. Because of this, Keiter’s core values of collaboration, innovation, relationships, and accountability really resonate. According to Emily, “When one of our team members comes to me with a problem, I genuinely care about helping to find a resolution.”

Emily has been married for 14 years and has a 14-year-old son. Her son recently purchased his first car and fixing it up has been a family project. Emily enjoys Keiter’s generous paid time off which provides extra time to help with the car project as well as time to relax watching her favorite show on Hulu, ‘The Handmaids Tale’.
