Recruiting Coordinator introduces candidates to Richmond

Paverick Nicolas joined Keiter’s HR Department in the Fall of 2022. How did he become Keiter’s Richmond (RVA) expert in such a short period of time? Paverick was born in New York; however, he has called Richmond home for over 30 years. Before he and his wife had children, he was a city explorer. Paverick spent much of his free time discovering the city; hiking, bike riding, going to new restaurants, going to the movies, and enjoying everything that Richmond has to offer. He and his wife also enjoy the many recreational sports Richmond has to offer. They play volleyball, soccer, and just recently picked up pickleball.

A trusted relocation resource

Paverick is enjoying the opportunity to apply his Richmond tour guide experience from years past to his new recruiting role at Keiter. Working at a friend’s food tour business, Paverick was able to meet a variety of people and share his knowledge of the city, specifically Carytown. He is quick to provide our accounting candidates and team members with information about the history of the area as well as dining options. One of the Carytown restaurants that stands out to Paverick the most is Can Can Brasserie, a French restaurant that he describes as “the French version of the American diner”. The restaurant is known for its red vinyl seats, long countertops, and big booths. It is comparable to Balthazar in New York or even Le Diplomate in Washington, DC.

He left his tour guide role to become a Spanish teacher for eight years. Now, as the Firm’s Recruiting Coordinator, he continues to apply his passion for teaching by sharing his knowledge of the Firm and all the benefits of working and living in the Richmond area with accounting candidates and new team members. Paverick finds that his Recruiting Coordinator role allows him to be more in control of his schedule which provides more time to enjoy his favorite spots in Richmond and the surrounding area. A recent family adventure included a hike up Stony Man on the Appalachian Trail. Paverick and family are looking forward to more time playing at the beach this summer.
