Keiter Announces Two Department Leader Transitions

Richard Lewis and Asif Charania will move into departmental leadership roles

RICHMOND, VA. (January 3, 2023) – Keiter, one of the largest, independent Certified Public Accounting firms in Central Virginia, announces that Richard Lewis, CPA, CFE has been named Practice Leader of the Assurance department and Asif Charania, CPA/ABV/CFF, ASA has been named Practice Leader of the Valuation and Forensic Services department.

In their new roles, Mr. Lewis and Mr. Charania will oversee the strategic growth and development of their respective departments. This includes developing new opportunities for their departments, marketing the Firm’s services, identifying new professional development opportunities for their team, and actively acquiring new talent.

Mr. Lewis has over 17 years of experience in public accounting providing assurance services to privately held-companies and tax-exempt entities. Mr. Lewis leads the Firm’s Not-for-Profit team and is a member of the Healthcare and Medical Practices team.

Mr. Charania has nearly 15 years of experience and specializes in valuation and forensic accounting, including financial investigations and litigation consulting services. He is succeeding Harold Martin, who has retired as a Partner and transitioned to a Director at the Firm.

In addition to the new roles of Mr. Lewis and Mr. Charania, Keiter also announces that Vince J. Nadder, CPA will continue to serve as the Practice Leader of the Tax department. Mr. Nadder has over 25 years of experience in public accounting providing tax, consulting, and accounting services and is the Partner in Charge of the Firm’s Cost Segregation, Qualified Opportunity Zone and Enterprise Zone Tax Credits and Historic Rehabilitation Services, and the Chair of Keiter’s Professional Services industry team.
