COVID-19 Tax Relief for Henrico County Businesses and Individuals

Local Tax Relief for Virginia Businesses and Individuals Impacted by Coronavirus

Yesterday, the Henrico County Board of Supervisors adopted an emergency ordinance providing temporary relief from interest and penalties relating to several county taxes as follows:

Meals and lodging taxes

Starting now through August, penalties and interest will be waived on meals and lodging tax payments. While the tax payments will continue to be due on the 20th of each month, any late filing penalties and interest will be forgiven through August 20, 2020.

Machinery & tools, Commercial & Residential Real Estate, and Personal Property taxes for businesses and residents

The due date for payment of these taxes is June 5, 2020, however, Henrico County will waive penalties and interest on payments made by August 5, 2020.
