Challenge and Opportunity

A company which has become a global leader in vulnerability intelligence, breach data and risk ratings wanted to create a new tool that provided its customers with actionable information about security vulnerabilities.

Approach

  • Detecting and defending against online security vulnerabilities is often a reactive practice after a hacking has already taken place.
  • Using current website HTML content, historical data, and data mapping, our team was able to create a model which anticipated when a potential hack could happen before it does.
  • The data is then delivered to the client’s customers through on online portal in simple, easy to understand visualizations so that can act to avoid a security breach.

Results

The tool has become one of the client’s most successful products with nearly 30,000 customers being monitored for security vulnerabilities.
